Responsibilities
- Perform landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and installing hardscape features such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls
- Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and weed control to ensure lush, healthy turf
- Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, lawnmowers, and excavators safely and efficiently
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks including pruning, tree trimming, irrigation system adjustments, and seasonal snow plowing when necessary
- Assist with garden bed preparation, soil conditioning, mulching, and horticultural practices to promote plant health
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance on tools and machinery
- Support tree care activities by inspecting for disease or damage and executing proper pruning or removal procedures
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscaping or related construction fields with knowledge of landscaping techniques and horticulture principles
- Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as excavators and snow plows safely
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance
- Familiarity with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and weed control
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair techniques
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions with stamina and attention to safety protocols
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward landscape maintenance projects
