Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Lawn Technician to join our team. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for horticulture and outdoor care. The Lawn Technician will work on residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
Duties
Fertilizer & Weed Control
Apply lawn fertilizers, pre-emergent and post-emergent herbicides, and other lawn treatments according to company standards and state regulations.
- Diagnose lawn health issues such as weeds, nutrient deficiencies, insects, and turf diseases.
- Recommend appropriate treatment plans or services to improve lawn health.
- Maintain accurate records of products used, application rates, and service locations.
- Operate and maintain spreaders, sprayers, and other application equipment.
Mosquito Control
Apply mosquito control treatments using backpack sprayers, power sprayers, or other equipment.
- Inspect properties to identify mosquito habitats and provide recommendations for prevention.
- Follow all guidelines for safe handling and application of pesticides.
- Communicate effectively with customers about treatment expectations, safety precautions, and follow-up care
General duties
Provide friendly, professional customer service at every property.
- Ensure all equipment, vehicles, and materials are clean, organized, and functioning properly.
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and state pesticide licensing regulations.
- Attend ongoing training to stay current with safety procedures and best practices.
- Work independently and manage daily service routes efficiently.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- (Preferred) State pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to operate lawn care and pest control equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift 50 lbs.
