Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence among preschoolers.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns regarding child welfare or development.
- Conduct child development assessments and utilize standardized testing when appropriate to monitor each child's growth.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certification.
Experience
- Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, classroom management, and lesson planning.
- Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and behavior management strategies.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent communication and collaboration with colleagues.
- Classroom experience in private or public school environments is preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; ongoing professional development in early childhood education is a plus.
