Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with approved menus, ensuring adherence to dietary guidelines for children.
• Help plan weekly menus that incorporate balanced nutrition, variety, and appealing presentation to encourage healthy eating habits.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Shop for needed groceries and supplies.
• Handle food with care, following strict food safety management practices such as sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques.
• Cook for approximately 33 children, ages 15 months through 5 years.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating supplies, and ordering ingredients as needed to support menu requirements.
• Follow recipe adherence protocols meticulously to ensure nutritional accuracy and compliance with health regulations.

Experience

• Previous experience working as a dietary aide or in a food service environment is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated knowledge of menu planning and food preparation .
• Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices is essential.
• Proven ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Strong understanding of dietary department protocols and compliance requirements related to child nutrition programs.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
