Our Float Teachers are an important part of our preschool community. They move between classrooms to provide teacher breaks, planning time, and additional classroom support. You’ll get to know children and teachers throughout the entire school while helping each classroom have a safe, positive, and successful day.
What You’ll Do
- Provide breaks, planning time, and classroom coverage for teaching staff
- Support classrooms serving children from infancy through Pre-K
- Play, sing, read, create, explore outdoors, and engage with children
- Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and transitions
- Step into different classroom routines with confidence and flexibility
- Help maintain clean, organized, and welcoming learning spaces
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Follow licensing requirements and Wee Care Academy policies

Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Experience working with children ages 6 weeks through 5 years
- Active MERIT account (preferred)
- Cleared Washington State DCYF background check (must clear before working with children)
- Early childhood education coursework or credentials (preferred)
Applicants must be able to complete all licensing and employment requirements, including a DCYF background check, TB screening, CPR/First Aid, and required training.

This bonus is a longevity bonus and is issued in 3 payments over 9 months ($350 after 3 months, $500 after 6 months and $750 after 9 months)
Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
