Wee Care Academy is looking for dependable, caring, and energetic Assistant Teachers to join our preschool team!
Our Assistant Teachers work alongside Lead Teachers to create safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environments for children from infancy through Pre-K. These positions are a great fit for someone who enjoys working with young children, is flexible and patient, and wants to grow in the field of early childhood education.
Responsibilities
- Provide breaks, classroom support, and planning time for lead teaching staff.
- Assist the Lead Teacher with daily classroom routines and activities
- Supervise and actively engage with children throughout the day
- Support meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and classroom transitions
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Follow licensing requirements and Wee Care Academy policies
- Communicate professionally with children, families, and coworkers
- Provide classroom coverage and support where needed

- Interested in nature-based learning and child development
- Available to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM–5:30 PM (also 8:30-5:00pm okay)
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Must be 18 years or older
- Previous experience working with children ages 6 weeks through 5 years
- Active MERIT account
- Cleared Washington State DCYF background check
- Early childhood education coursework or credentials
Applicants must be able to complete all required licensing and employment requirements, including a DCYF background check, TB screening, CPR/First Aid, and required training.

This bonus is a 9 month longevity bonus and is issued in 3 payments. ($350 after 3 months of employment, $500 after 6 months, and $750 after 9 months).
Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
