Job Description

The Dispatch Supervisor will report to the Operations Manager and is responsible for actively facilitating communications between the field operations team to ensure the service is running efficiently.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Evaluate the performance of all direct-report personnel on a regular basis according to company policy.
• Schedule and dispatch drivers for maximum efficiency. Monitor trips and handle overflow calls.
• Manage direct and indirect hours, minimizing overtime for the employees. Fill open shifts for drivers and dispatchers.
• Collect and audit employees' time sheets.
• Ensure the effective utilization of vehicles and optimize vehicle routing and record supporting documentation.
• Ensure that key passenger transportation data is collected.
• Monitor on-time performance.
• Document and manage customer or employee complaints.
• Assist General Manager in preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and subsequent analysis of variance.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and/or processes by action and speech. Discuss any breech of policy and procedure noted with the General Manager.
• Meet regularly with customers to review service quality and performance, address other business issues and enhance the relationship.
• Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner.
• Responsible for knowledge of CSC contracts, finances budget and operational requirements

• Ability to multitask and pay extreme attention to detail.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and problem solve.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate to advanced excel skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Able to lift 25 pounds, climb stairs, and be on your feet for an extended period.

Education And Qualifications

Hard requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Operations Management , with 3 years in ground transportation industry preferred; this can be waived with a minimum of 1-year supervisory experience. College education can be substituted for up to 2 years required work experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  
  

Preferred Requirements

• Experience in public or private alternative transportation demand management (TDM)
• Commercial driver’s license
• Knowledge of DMV policies and procedures
