What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Wedgewood Properties?
Growing Property Management company searching for a full-time Maintenance Technician to assist with the general maintenance support for residential and commercial properties. The goal is to provide the highest level of maintenance services for our owners and tenants by focusing your efforts on completing all maintenance projects in a timely and safe manner. This position will report directly to the Property Manager.
Responsibilities- Communicate and coordinate with Property Manager and tenants regarding maintenance work needed as work orders come in
- Manage work orders
- Handle purchasing of supplies and materials
- Inspect and maintain all tools in excellent condition
- Perform maintenance services such as Electrical, Plumbing, Drywall repair, Door replacement, Painting, Woodwork, Window replacement, Change locks and make ready keys
- Constantly be aware of the conditions of the physical property when onsite
- Assist in keeping grounds clean and free of litter. Trash removal as circumstances warrant.
- Any other duties as requested by the Property Manager
- Normal hours of operation: 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday thru Friday
- On call for emergency repairs during after hours/weekends/holidays
- Overtime must be approved by Director unless responding to an emergency
- Valid Class C Texas driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Very well organized
- Basic understanding of routine real estate maintenance needs
- Well-versed in real estate maintenance work
- Client-focused approach
- 2 years of property maintenance experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Enjoyment in providing excellent service
- Friendly and helpful in person and on the phone
- Full time - $20/hour
