Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Facility: Bedrock Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Wedgewood
Location: Lakeland, FL
Shift: Full-Time, All Shifts
Pay Rate: Up to $33 per hour
Key Duties:
- Administer and record medications and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Prepare for and assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
- Observe and report patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and general condition to the appropriate individuals.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures.
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
- Document nursing care in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Ensure compliance with infection control procedures and facility policies.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and implement appropriate interventions.
- Support CNAs and other nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care.
- Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident assessments.
- Educate residents and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Perform other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Valid LPN license in the state of Florida.
- CPR certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in long-term care or a related setting.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
