Position Summary
We are seeking a talented and dependable Banquet Events Chef to join our culinary team at a premier private event venue. This role focuses primarily on the execution of weddings, corporate functions, private dinners, and special events.
Working alongside the culinary leadership team, the Banquet Events Chef will help execute high-quality menus while ensuring consistency, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced banquet environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives during service, enjoys event production, and takes pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and execution of banquet and catered events.
- Lead kitchen operations during assigned events, ensuring food quality, presentation, and timing.
- Coordinate production with culinary and event teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Supervise and support banquet kitchen staff during service.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards throughout all kitchen operations.
- Assist with prep production, inventory management, and event setup as needed.
- Ensure consistent execution of recipes, plating, and service standards.
- Support multiple events while maintaining composure in a high-volume environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in banquet, catering, hotel, country club, or high-volume event kitchens preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak event season.
