Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Banquet Operations Manager to oversee and execute all event operations. This role works directly alongside the General Manager, ensuring every event runs seamlessly from start to finish. The ideal candidate understands banquet operations at every level — from kitchen coordination to front-of-house execution — and can lead teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Duties
- Work directly with the General Manager to oversee all banquet and event operations
- Ensure full coordination between kitchen, banquet staff, Maître D’s, and all service teams
- Act as the central point of communication during events to keep all departments aligned
- During events, actively oversee all aspects of execution to ensure everything is running correctly and on schedule
- Ensure all staff are performing their roles efficiently and to the venue’s standards
- Cocktail hour setup and execution, ensuring stations and service are running smoothly
- Reception timing and coordination, including proper execution of all food courses
- Monitoring and executing transitions between courses and event phases
- Overseeing dessert and Viennese hour setup and service
- Observe, anticipate, and resolve any issues in real time with urgency and professionalism
- Maintain a high level of visibility on the floor to ensure service quality and guest experience
- Lead and manage staff, holding team members accountable for performance and presentation
- Ensure venue cleanliness, organization, and readiness at all times
- Assist in training staff to perform in high-level banquet environments
Qualifications
- 3 years of banquet/event operations experience REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of full venue operations, including kitchen flow, service execution, and event timing
- Experience managing weddings and high-end events strongly preferred
- Proven leadership ability in fast-paced environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate issues before they arise
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stay composed and decisive under pressure
Schedule Requirements
- Typical schedule: Wednesday – Sunday
- During peak and busy seasons, schedule may extend to Monday – Sunday as needed
- Must be available for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexibility is essential in this role

Our luxury wedding & event facility is located in North Jersey, approximately 15–30 minutes from Wayne. Exact location will be disclosed during the interview process.
