Our Accounting and Finance department is seeking a bright Accounts Payable Accountant. The position is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable, reconciliations, and assisting with month-end process.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare daily profit and loss (P&L) reports for the business unit with accuracy and timeliness
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparation of balance sheet journal entries
  • Prepare monthly cost center allocation entries to ensure accurate expense reporting
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice review and approvals
  • Track, review, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
  • Generate and maintain accounts payable reports
  • Process travel advances and employee expense reports
  • Prepare quarterly other expenses accruals
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as needed
  • Reconcile daily P&L reporting to the month-end results for consistency and accuracy
  • Review income statements for assigned business units
  • Contribute to internal controls by creating and updating standard operating procedures
  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests
  • Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned

Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University, preferably in Accounting/Finance or related field
  • 1 years of related experience in Accounting or AP
  • Knowledge and understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Knowledge of Great Plains software
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) with strong Excel skills
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization
  • Experience in Financial Services, particularly broker/dealer

The reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $30.00/hr to $36.00/hr.
