Job Purpose
Job Summary:
Wecom, is hiring an Outside Plant Engineer on site for our Las Vegas office.
We are seeking an Outside Plant Engineer with industry experience, preferably with knowledge of brownfield and greenfield projects. Knowledge of outside. This person should be interested in a position where you will work closely with the design team to produce construction prints and permanent records of outside plant communications networks.
Job Duties:
- Work with Design and Documentation team to create construction, splicing and as built drawings.
- Select and manage Inspectors and construction contractors.
- Provide project coordination including attending weekly meetings and field site visits.
- Provide technical support to Telecom Operations as required.
- Develop Internal / External partnerships and relationships.
- Design, adjust, and troubleshoot moderately complex equipment.
- Responsible for organizing complex activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of OSP engineering projects.
- Requires a wide range of experience, using sound engineering practices and company objectives to resolve issues in creative and effective ways.
- Utilizes high level of communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships.
- Promotes positive change in the company's business strategy through achievement of customer and internal specific objectives and technological innovation of practical and profitable nature.

Competencies/ Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology, sciences, related discipline, or minimum 5 years indust6ry specific job experience.
- Possess entry to basic level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles.
- Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle basic assignments.
- Exhibit fundamental understanding for pertinent telecom equipment, materials, systems, and business processes.
- Demonstrate the ability to be a team player.
- Develop decision making skills under guidance of higher-level employees.
