Position: EMT-Basic
Base: Richmond, VA
Status: Part-Time
Shifts: (8,10 and 12 Hours) Shifts
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing BLS (Basic Life Support) transport for patients between hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and home residences
- Supporting hospital-to-home discharges, dialysis transports, inter-facility transfers, and medical appointments
- Delivering care with professionalism, compassion, and efficiency
- Maintaining communication with dispatch and healthcare providers
- Ensuring safety and proper documentation during all transports
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly and professionally to both scheduled and unscheduled medical transports and patient assessments.
- Provide basic life support services, such as CPR, oxygen administration, and patient monitoring.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely, adhering to company policy and local and state regulations.
- Ensure that ambulances and equipment are always clean, stocked, and operational.
- Accurate and timely documentation of all care and services rendered, using electronic systems.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, hospital staff, patients, and families.
- Uphold a compassionate, respectful bedside manner in all interactions.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict patient confidentiality.
Requirements:
- Valid EMT-B or NREMT Certification
- EVOC Certification
- CPR certification
- Clean driving record
- Strong communication and patient care skills
