WeCare Centers of PA is hiring a Resident Transport Driver / Escort for our communities in Waynesburg, Canonsburg, and Mt. Lebanon, PA.
** THIS IS A PER-DIEM ROLE. **
As a Driver / Escort, you are entrusted with the responsibility of caring for our residents, families and co-workers. During resident transportation activities you will either be driving the resident or serving as an escort to the resident.
Key Responsibilities
- Report all pertinent information concerning resident care as detected to appropriate personnel.
- Drive facility provided vehicle.
- Transport and/or escort residents, staff and volunteers to desired destinations.
- Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available as indicated.
- Provide minimal assist of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.
- Ensures a safe environment
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Maintain positive, professional interaction with residents and staff.
- Graduate of an accredited high school or GED.
- Valid, unencumbered state drivers license.
- 1-2 years transportation experience preferred.
- Previous long term care experience.
- Must have experience transporting and transferring residents with physical impairments using facility equipment.
