Key Responsibilities
- Passes medications and gives treatments according to physicians orders and in accordance with facility policy
- Provides heedful care tasks, personal hygiene .services, housekeeping tasks and other related support services essential to the resident's health
- Follows schedule in accordance to Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) standards
- Alerts Administrator of any change in resident's physical or mental health status
- Reports and documents all resident incidents and emergency medical calls to administrative staff
- Ensures that residents receive meals during scheduled times
- Does not leave floor unattended without notifying a fellow employee
- Gives shift report on status of residents
- Documents in the resident records
- Responsible for notifying PC Manager or Charge Nurse of medications needing to be refilled
- Assures personal and staff compliance to residents' rights
- Provides a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and other staff members
- Monitors personal and staff compliance to all State and federal requirements including but not limited to blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and: fire safety
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 Year long term care experience
- 1 year med tech experience
