Description
WeCare Centers at South Hills Care Center is looking for a dedicated individual as a Laundry Aide for our community in Canonsburg, PA!
Key Responsibilities
- Collect soiled laundry from resident rooms and designated collection points
- Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Sort, fold, and distribute clean linens and clothing to appropriate locations
- Label resident clothing and ensure personal items are returned to the correct resident
- Follow infection control and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry area
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate attitude and ability to work well with elderly residents
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
