WeCare is actively seeking a motivated Registered Dietician. Our Dietician is a responsible to assure the optimal level of quality care is provided to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Provides medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for the patient population- Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Company Diet Manual and the Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures Manual
- Complies with all regulatory standards to include federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, and patient rights policies
- Participates in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
- Will assist Dietary Manager in all operations of the dietary department as needed
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
At least 1 years' experience in Skilled Nursing Homes or LTC facilities- Must be a Registered Dietitian.
- Knowledgeable with State and Federal DOH rules and regulations for Skilled Nursing Homes
- Expertise in performing Nutritional Assessments.
- Expertise in creating and modifying Nutritional Care Plans
- Familiar with MDS, EMR software for Clinical Documentation
- Excellent communication skills
- ServSafe certification preferred but not required
