Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Experienced Carpenter, Framer, and All-Round Handyman to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry tasks including framing, drywall installation, door/window fitting, and custom woodworking projects with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct repairs on various building components such as plumbing systems, electrical equipment, HVAC units, and structural elements.
- Utilize schematics and technical diagrams to troubleshoot electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other mechanical equipment.
- Operate welding tools and perform welding repairs to restore or reinforce structural integrity.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters; ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards.
- Manage facilities maintenance including HVAC system repair, plumbing system upkeep, and general MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations).
- Supervise junior team members or apprentices when required; ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to high standards.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients or site managers about repair status and project timelines.
Experience
- Proven experience as a carpenter or framer with a strong portfolio of residential or commercial projects.
- Demonstrated ability in general handyman repairs across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, welding, and mechanical systems.
- Supervising experience is preferred; capable of leading small teams or overseeing subcontractors effectively.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical diagrams, and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of manufacturing environments or facilities maintenance operations is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in electrical equipment repair and HVAC system troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to read technical documents and schematics accurately.
