What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer School Teachers (Elementary K-5) position at WEBSTER GROVES SCHOOL DISTRICT?
Primary Objective: To provide students enrolled in summer school with an engaging and enriching classroom experience. Each summer school teacher must have a demonstrated track record of propelling student academic growth and mastery in public elementary schools.
Essential Functions:
- Developing and implementing lesson plans, independent learning exercises, curricula, and methods that cater to the needs of the individual child while they learn in a project - based setting
- Creating and communicating weekly learning plans for all students
- Inspiring students to expand their sphere of knowledge, and to grow in ways they were not able to during the past school year
Qualifications:
- Missouri teacher certification
- Teaching experience
- Consideration will be given to staff available for the entire summer school session (exceptions for emergencies only)
Summer School Details:
- Summer School Dates: June 1, 2026 to June 26, 2026
- Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM - 11:55 AM
- School Sites - Bristol Elementary and Givens Elementary
