What You'll Do
- Teach high school art courses
- Design engaging lessons in areas such as drawing, painting, design, and mixed media
- Encourage creativity, self-expression, and artistic risk-taking
- Support students in developing both technical skills and creative thinking
- Display and celebrate student artwork within the school and community
- Build strong relationships with students and families
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture

Minimum starting salary: $50,000 for educators new to the profession
(The 2026 - 27 starting salary schedule is pending board approval.)

Licensure / Endorsement Requirements
Preferred candidates will hold:
- K-8 Art - 113
- 5-12 Art - 114
Other applicable Iowa endorsements may also be considered.
Candidates who are eligible for licensure or are currently completing an approved teacher preparation program are encouraged to apply.
