The Part time Analyst, SOX Compliance will perform testing over design and operating effectiveness of SOX controls at the direction of the SOX Director. Expand and refine understanding of auditing and accounting standards, and department procedures and strategies. Contribute to the execution of the SOX program's assessment supporting management's 302/404 certification.What you will do
Complete SOX testing in assigned areas, including assessment of control design through walkthroughs and testing of operating effectiveness. Ensure documentation and testing complies with industry standards and allows for reliance by the external auditors.
Manage testing requests and organize source documentation.
Assist in maintenance of SOX system and SOX documentation.
Support external auditor requests during the annual audit.
Assist in the review and mapping of SOC 1 reports.
Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with business line partners and other stakeholders.
Skills and Abilities
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, project management and analytical skills.
Education Qualifications
H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or a related field preferred
Experience Qualifications
3-4 years related experience required
0-2 years public accounting or SOX experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) upon hire preferred
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) upon hire preferred
The estimated hourly range for this position is $18.00 USD to $24.00 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
