What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Representative position at WebShiftStudios?
Sales Representative — WebShift Studios (Commission-Based)
Overview
Join WebShift Studios as a Sales Representative and help local businesses get websites and business systems that actually bring in customers. WebShift builds modern websites, client portals, booking and quote flows, and back-office tools for small and mid-sized businesses. In this role you will find and engage business owners, show them what a rebuilt online presence could do for them, and guide them from first conversation to signed proposal. Your energy and follow-through will grow our client base while making sure every prospect feels heard and well served. This is a commission-based position with uncapped earning potential, a strong opportunity to sharpen your consultative selling skills, learn the web and systems space, and grow with a small, fast-moving studio.
Compensation
Commission-based: you earn a percentage of every project and care plan you close
Commissions are paid out as the client's payments come in, and tracked in your own commission dashboard so you always know where you stand
No cap on earnings; the more you close, the more you make
Flexible schedule; you manage your own pipeline and hours
Responsibilities
Prospect and engage local businesses, in person, by phone, and online, to understand their goals and the problems with their current website or workflow
Present tailored recommendations from our service lines: website launches, custom builds, integrated business systems, and ongoing care plans
Walk prospects through a working preview of their rebuilt site and a scoped proposal, and close the deal
Identify upsell opportunities such as booking systems, client portals, payment integrations, and monthly care plans that add real value for the client
Build lasting client relationships through clear communication, attentive listening, and reliable follow-up before and after launch
Keep your leads, deals, proposals, and client notes accurate and current in our sales dashboard
Follow studio pricing guidelines and proposal procedures, and coordinate with the build team on scope, timelines, and client handoff
Experience
Prior sales, customer-facing, or business development experience is highly desirable
Comfortable talking with business owners about their marketing, online presence, and day-to-day operations
Basic understanding of what a modern website involves (pages, forms, booking, payments, SEO); no coding required, and we will train you on our services
Knowledge of basic math for quoting project tiers, care plans, discounts, and commission
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
Self-motivated and organized, able to manage your own pipeline and work independently
Experience in military service or in a trades or local-services industry is a plus, since many of our clients come from those worlds
This role is perfect for motivated people who enjoy building relationships, working independently, and being paid for results. If you have excellent organizational skills, a passion for customer service, and the drive to close, we want to hear from you.
