Job Summary/Basic Function
The ESL Program Manager is responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the English as a Second Language program, digital skills classes, and other offerings through community education. This position supports adult learners by ensuring high-quality and accessible instruction. The Program Manager will supervise instructors, teach 1-2 courses each block, coordinate curriculum development, develop and maintain quality standards, and build partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program impact. This position will collaborate with the CEC Program Consultant, especially during the crucial program launch and transition phases. This position will supervise the development and implementation of ESL programming at two physical locations, job sites, and an online program.

Required Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Family Studies, Public Administration or related fields, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with multilingual pedagogy through any of the following: ESL endorsement, Dual Language endorsement, TESOL, or related certification
- 2 years of experience in teaching and developing curriculum for multilingual learners or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Education, Multilingual Education, Adult Learning, Public Administration, or related field
- One year of experience in program coordination or management within an educational, nonprofit, or community-based organization
- Experience supervising full-time or contract instructional staff
- Experience working with industry partners in providing tailored adult education courses
- Knowledge of adult learning theory
- Familiarity with LMS systems such as Canvas
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and practices
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
