The Browning Center for the Performing Arts is looking for spirited and confident
individuals to work as Ushers, Greeters and Valet Attendants for Browning Center
events. Position hours are dictated by performances at the Browning Center with
most hours of work, not all, between 5:00pm and 10:00pm.
Employees will assist in arranging the lobby and setting up tables for events.
Usher and greeters will take tickets and assist guest, answer event questions,
help guide guest to seats or other areas of the building, seat late arrivals, assist
with handicapped patron seating, cleaning after events and assist with the
evacuation of guest during an emergency.
Valet Attendants greet clients and help them from their vehicles, park vehicles in a
nearby parking lot, and retrieve vehicles after performances. This position is an
outdoor position and will require running between parked cars and the entrance of
the Browning Center.

Required Qualifications
High School Education
Ability to stand long hours
Ability to climb stairs
Ability to lift up to 20lbs
Ability to interact with public in a polite & professional manner
For valet, a valid drivers license in good standing
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience as an usher or working within the arts
For valet, ability to drive a manual transmission

- This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions
