The Alternative Format Assistant will assist the Accommodation Specialist and Adaptive Technology Specialist in the conversion of course materials into alternative formats (PDF, Audio, MP3, or adding alternative text to pictures); using software such as, Adobe Acrobat and Kurzweil. This position will also help train students on the use and navigation of Kurzweil software, help to ensure that student’s requests for alternative format are completed, follow-up with students when needed and input documentation of notes and paperwork. We will train applicants on use of equipment & software. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have experience in working with customers, Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience working with PC’s & Mac computers, and familiar with Kurzweil. Excellent customer service skills, enjoys helping people and is able to work independently and with a team.
