Job Summary/Basic Function
The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for leading safe, effective, and enjoyable group exercise classes for the Campus Recreation Department at Weber State University. GrpX Instructors monitor group exercise participants, creating a supportive and inclusive exercise environment for participants while developing fitness instruction skills and knowledge. This position reports to the Fitness Coordinator.

Required Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
American Red Cross CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certifications are required prior to working a shift (offered through Campus Rec once employed).
Must possess excellent interpersonal communication and relational service skills.
Should have prior group exercise experience.
Completion of academic group exercise courses are recommended. Athletic Training, Nutrition, Health Promotion, Dance, Physical Education, Human Performance Management, or related major preferred.
Nationally recognized fitness certification required (i.e., ACE, AFAA).
