What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Resource Management position at Weber Shandwick?
We are seeking a highly skilled Vice President, Resource Management to partner with the Chief Creative Officer within the Central Creative department, as well as the leaders of one of our largest global clients.
This role is critical to enhancing workflows, optimizing resources, building scalable RM processes, and fostering collaboration across teams, while ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with exceptional problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of creative operations and resource management. They will partner closely with operational leaders across other business units to align, standardize, and elevate agency operations.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Strategy Operations Leadership
- Act as a strategic operational partner to the Chief Creative Officer and designated global account lead to implement the department’s vision and achieve goals.
- Lead initiatives to enhance the team’s culture, visibility, and thought leadership, including driving staffing and capability planning of creative talent, supporting award submissions, and elevating the agency’s creative reputation.
Creative & Strategy Team Development and Resource Optimization
- Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture that fosters growth and success within the creative and strategy teams.
- Partner with creative and account leadership to optimize talent allocation, ensuring the right skills are properly aligned with project needs and deliverables.
- Collaborate closely with the larger resourcing team to ensure projects are staffed with the best-fit talent to drive creative excellence.
Operational Excellence
- Establish, evaluate, and refine scalable processes that drive efficiency, streamline workflows, and improve output quality within the department.
- Implement best practices in creative and RM operations, proactively identify areas for improvement and recommend innovative solutions to elevate performance.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges within the department, acting as a solutions-oriented partner to the CCO and team leads.
- Maintain operational oversight and introduce innovations that improve collaboration, execution, and overall department effectiveness.
Resource Management Account Operations:
- Drive operational excellence by creating RM frameworks that align with business objectives, ensuring seamless resource allocation, and collaborating with senior leadership to move RM operations forward effectively. Lead agency initiatives impacting our top global assignments.

Salary Range: $120,000 USD – $155,000 USD
