Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Elementary School Administrator to lead all aspects of school operations. The principal will provide instructional and operational leadership to ensure student success, foster a positive and inclusive school culture, and support the professional growth of faculty and staff. This role implements district goals and policies, promotes high-quality teaching and learning, and builds strong relationships with students, families, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership to promote a safe, positive, and inclusive school environment that encourages academic excellence and equity.- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents to develop, implement, and monitor school policies, goals, curriculum plans, and the School Success Plan (SSP).
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teachers and staff, providing feedback and professional development to enhance instructional practices and student outcomes.
- Conduct classroom observations and walkthroughs to monitor teaching effectiveness and support continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, district policies, and Utah Core Standards.
- Oversee student behavior systems, including PBIS and multi-tiered supports, as well as attendance and intervention programs.
- Manage school operations, including budget, resources, and facilities, in collaboration with district leadership.
- Lead initiatives to improve student learning outcomes and close achievement gaps.
- Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the community, serving as a visible and approachable leader.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the school and district administration, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Coordinate standardized testing and assessments, ensuring compliance with district protocols.
- Use data to guide decision-making and inform instructional and operational improvements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through reflective practice, shared leadership, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Current Utah Administrative/Supervisory License, including successful completion of the Praxis exam.- Minimum of seven years of successful teaching experience; administrative experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage personnel, budget, and facilities effectively.
- Commitment to equity, student growth, and a student-centered school culture.
- Experience with instructional leadership, curriculum development, and professional learning communities (PLCs).
- Knowledge of PBIS, MTSS, and behavioral interventions.
- Proficiency in using student data to inform decisions.
- Ability to model reflective practice, adaptability, and a growth mindset.
Preferred Skills
Experience with curriculum development and instructional leadership.- Familiarity with student data analysis to drive school improvement.
- Knowledge of educational technologies and classroom integration.
