Forklift Operator

Position Summary:The primary responsibility of this role will be to safely move product in order to meet daily service requirements. Fulfilling our customers’ orders while observing company policy and procedure.Essential Job Functions:Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or is an essential function of the position.Able to operate a stand-up reach truck, order picker and a sit down fork liftAbility to lift, push, pull, carry or move up to fifty (50) pounds.Ability to bend, turn, twist, kneel and/or squat up to 50% a day.Work a variety of shifts in order to accommodate customer demandsWill accurately receive and prepare various products for deliveryCheck accuracy for freight moving in and out of warehousePerform department’s housekeeping duties as assignedUse skills and thorough understanding of warehouse systemsPartner with other team members to drive department excellenceObserves all company SOP’sParticipates in Safety MeetingsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications:Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environmentSafely and skillfully use MHE in a busy warehouse environmentManage priorities in a timely and efficient manner within critical deadlinesAccuracy in handling customers’ ordersTeam oriented with a continuous improvement outlookWorking knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems such as SynapseStrong customer service skillsAbility to communicate effectivelyEducation, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations: High School diploma or GED Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience Minimum 1 year as a certified operator of MHE Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is required to walk, stand and sit to perform work. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms, smell, talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to noisy and the employee may be exposed to extreme weather. The work environment is a general warehouse/distribution environment with MHE operations.
