Paralegal– General Liability – Hybrid from King of Prussia, Mt. Laurel or Philadelphia
Weber Gallagher has an immediate opening for an experienced general litigation defense Paralegal. The individual in this role will have the flexibility of working a hybrid schedule from any of the following locations, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Philadelphia or King of Prussia. The individual will be responsible for supporting a team of attorneys with litigation tasks from inception through trial and close.
Responsibilities:
- Manage client cases from inception through trial and closing.
- Daily time entry billing requirements.
- Obtain, review, analyze and summarize documents, including medical records, financial documents and other relevant case information.
- Trial preparation – such as trial binders, exhibits and preparing witness files.
- Manage court docket calendar.
- Create status reports and provide updates to appropriate parties.
- Willingness to work on cases from start to finish and meet all court deadlines.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience, preferably in defense litigation support.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate from an ABA approved organization.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet all deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams of attorneys, legal staff, court staff, clients, expert witnesses, etc.
- Demonstrated interest in defense litigation.
- Ability to perform legal research, experience with Lexis a plus.
- Familiarity with reviewing and obtaining medical records. And experience providing concise and thorough chronologies.
- Experience with time entry billing in a law firm setting, required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, required.
