ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT JOB DESCRIPTION:

WEBCON Construction is a Baltimore-based Commercial General Contractor recognized for delivering high-quality commercial construction projects through exceptional project management, craftsmanship, and client service.
WEBCON Construction is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Superintendent to join our team in Baltimore and play a key role in overseeing commercial construction projects from start to finish on smaller projects and to assist on large scale projects.

Responsibilities:
- Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the on-site management of construction operations, to work collaboratively with the project team, and direct, supervise and manage subcontractors and other construction related personnel.
- Lead the planning and sequencing of work activities and develop weekly project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager, Subcontractors, and Owner.
- Oversee the timely and cost-effective completion of contracted work, whether managing the project as a whole or, based on its size, scale, and complexity, overseeing specific scopes of work, Subcontractors, or other portions of the project on large scale projects.
- Develop a thorough understanding of each Subcontractor’s contractual scope of work to help prevent unnecessary change orders. Confirm that all Subcontractors are working from the most current project documents and supplemental information.
- Strong verbal communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities. Ability to read, understand, and interpret construction documents, including contracts, plans, specifications, and related project documentation. Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills, and a consistent ability to follow through on commitments while maintaining a high level of integrity.
- Maintain strong working relationships with Owners, Architects/Engineers, Construction Managers, and Subcontractors as needed to support continued business opportunities.
- Proactively review project drawings and specifications to identify potential conflicts, constructability concerns, and areas requiring clarification.
- Provide overall project oversight while proactively identifying and addressing potential issues that may impact the project schedule or budget.
- Informs/works with the project manager to effectively manage project budget and schedule.
- Maintain accurate As-Built documentation throughout the duration of each project.
- Prepare and maintain accurate Daily Reports throughout the duration of each project.
- Prepare, distribute and maintain Daily Project photo records.
- Basic computer knowledge required (Word, Excel, Email).
- Able to provide own reliable transportation each day.
- Salary commensurate with experience and includes discretionary bonuses, healthcare and truck allowances.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in construction management/related field work.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience overseeing/managing onsite construction.
- Commercial/Tenant Interiors renovation experience is required.
General Information:
WEBCON Construction Superintendents may be responsible for overseeing multiple smaller projects simultaneously. Standard work schedules are 40 hours per week, with occasional off-hours depending on scheduling and construction needs.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
