Role Description
This is a full-time position for a Refrigeration Engineer / Specialist based in Lancaster County, PA. The position requires a broad knowledge of all types of refrigeration systems used in food processing and cold storage operations. Additionally, this role includes interacting with clients to address concerns and provide high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Evaluates and recommends most refrigeration design philosophies for project and determines engineering systems to be provided to meet the project program and client needs.
- Can clearly outline refrigeration alternatives and provide summary of associated benefits/concerns.
- Directs work efforts of other engineers and designers that may be assigned to the project team within the same discipline.
- Researches and applies code requirements and IIAR design standards in design.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with OSHA’s Process Safety Management (PSM) and the EPA’s Risk Management Program (RMP) and assisting clients with their compliance needs
- Conduct Refrigeration and PSM/RMP training seminars both in-house and at owners’ locations
- Provide Mechanical Integrity audits. Audits include documenting the existing ammonia system conditions and reporting on recommendations to improve/enhance the mechanical integrity of our clients' refrigeration system.
- Effective Customer Service skills to engage with clients and address their technical needs.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
