Supervisor: Foreman
Job Description: Performs a variety of manual duties, by working on multiple projects and tasks where demands require workmen with varied experience and ability to work without close direction. Assist the foreman in all aspects of traffic control, i.e., road striping, pavement marking, and the fabrication and installation of all types of temporary and permanent signs and traffic control devices.
Overview
A worker who directs traffic in or around a construction site. May use signs or devices to direct traffic. May help assemble, position, and clean devices or equipment used to direct traffic. Must be able to effectively communicate with the public. May require certain level of training by GDOT specifications.

Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers. Ability to perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Working Conditions: Outdoor exposure to changing weather conditions (rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)
Work Environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/ or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
