Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for Survey Party Chiefs located in Hardeeville, SC. The Survey Party Chief will lead field survey crews, plan daily survey activities, and ensure accurate collection of spatial data for heavy civil and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include performing topographic, boundary, and construction layout surveys; operating total station and other survey instruments; and verifying field measurements against project plans and specifications. The role involves coordinating with project managers, engineers, and construction teams, maintaining clear field notes and survey records, and enforcing safety standards and company procedures. The Survey Party Chief will also assist with quality control, troubleshoot survey-related issues in the field, and help train and mentor crew members.
Qualifications

Qualifications
- Experience in land surveying practices, including Topographic Surveys and Land Surveying.
- Knowledge of specialized surveying services such as Building Surveying and ALTA Surveys.
- Proficiency in operating survey equipment, particularly Total Station and related instruments.
- Prior experience leading survey crews on heavy civil, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and legal descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail, mathematical skills, and spatial reasoning abilities.
- Commitment to field safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or degree in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or related field preferred.
- State surveying certifications or pursuit of licensure (e.g., LSIT, RPLS) is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.
