Responsible for completing product quality checks. Conducts routine and non-routine testing and analysis of production work. Quality checks may be reviewed for accuracy. Documents quality control issues as needed. Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision.The Inspector A ensures quality of finished goods. This position checks/measures all critical specifications for accuracy and visually inspects for foundry defects and machining errors.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for general knowledge of any / all job-related machinery, equipment, and work instructions.
- Inspect finished goods to ensure quality standards and customer specifications are met
- Pull parts needing balancing and send to balance machines
- Complete quality layout for each setup and each part per day
- Check pilot and bore, concentricity, hardness, hole location and size
- Prepare accurate daily inspection reports
- Operate forklift to move finished goods
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhere to all safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- Mechanical skills
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to read micrometer, blueprints and gauges
Experience
- 0-1 year
- Manufacturing, CNC and blueprint reading experience preferred
