Position OverviewWebb Utility Contractors is actively hiring experienced Directional Drill Operators for immediate deployment on multi-state underground telecommunications projects. We are looking for skilled operators familiar with JT9, JT40, and JT60 rigs who are ready to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.

- Operate directional drill rigs (JT9, JT40, JT60) safely and efficiently
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow bore plans, locates, and safety requirements
- Work closely with locator and crew to ensure accuracy and productivity
- Maintain production goals while ensuring quality installation
- Identify and navigate existing underground utilities
- Proven experience operating directional drills (JT9, JT40, JT60)
- Ability to read and understand bore plans and utility locates
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
- Willingness to travel and work out of state
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work in varying weather and ground conditions
- CDL (Class A)
- Experience in underground telecommunications
- Ability to support crew when not actively drilling
