Job Summary
The Head Boys Lacrosse Coach/Program Director is responsible for shaping and guiding all aspects of the program, grades 6-12, and reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The head coach must be a dynamic, innovative, and inspirational leader with a demonstrated commitment and passion for working with young people while collaborating effectively with parents, faculty, administration, and colleagues. You will emphasize the importance of a positive team culture, demonstrate a winning attitude, model exceptional sportsmanship, and will be a skilled teacher of fundamentals, technique, and character. Additionally, you will support the school’s mission in providing opportunities for each student to develop their full potential academically, socially, and physically.
Job Summary
A Webb Physical Education/Wellness Teacher is a passionate educator with comprehensive knowledge of child development who employs a variety of teaching tools and methodologies. As an effective member of the middle school faculty, this individual is flexible and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues. You must be committed to developing and modifying curriculum to conform with best practices and to best meet the unique needs of every child. The successful candidate is also a lifelong learner who welcomes opportunities for professional development and collegial conversation leading to the development of effective, inquiry-based education in the classroom.
Qualifications include, but are not limited to the following:
-Embraces and embodies Webb School’s purposefully stated mission statement
-Has extensive knowledge and successful experience coaching at the club, high school and/or intercollegiate level, with preference given to those who have served as a head coach
-Takes the initiative and possesses the energy needed to energize, lead and grow an athletic program in a K-12, coed independent school environment
-Familiarity with TSSAA policies and procedures preferred
-Bachelor’s degree required; graduate-level degree preferred for those seeking MS PE/Wellness role
