The Senior Buyer will lead the on-site purchasing team’s efforts in securing from outside sources various sourcing requirements to include raw materials, supplies, consumables, and services used to produce, or support the production of, finished goods. The Senior Buyer will work assigned materials and other daily buying tasks as well as supervise and provide guidance and training to assigned purchasing specialists. The Senior Buyer ensures compliance with accepted procurement practices with particular attention to on time and in full delivery, inventory optimization, supplier quality, supplier performance/relationship management and price/cost management when applicable. The execution of these tasks shall be conducted with the highest level of personal, professional, and ethical conduct. These procedures involve direct contact with outside suppliers, transportation carriers, Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Marketing, and Operational staff to help ensure customer fulfillment.
