Role Description The Parts Counter Representative is a full-time, on-site role located in Vineland, NJ. This position is responsible for assisting customers in person and by phone, identifying and locating the correct parts, and providing accurate pricing and product information. Day-to-day tasks include processing parts orders, coordinating shipping and receiving of parts, and maintaining organized inventory records. The role also involves working closely with the service and sales teams to ensure parts availability, creating sales tickets, handling transactions, and restocking shelves and displays. The Parts Counter Representative supports a clean, safe, and customer-friendly parts department environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to assist a diverse range of customers professionally and courteously.
- Experience or aptitude in sales, including identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate parts or accessories, and completing sales transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and parts catalog usage, with the ability to track stock, perform basic counts, and help maintain organized parts storage.
- Familiarity with shipping & receiving processes, including checking deliveries, preparing outgoing shipments, and handling related documentation.
- Basic mechanical or equipment knowledge (outdoor power equipment, tractors, mowers, or similar) preferred.
- Comfort with computer-based systems for parts lookup, order entry, and inventory management.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced retail and service environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in a dealership, parts counter, or retail environment is a plus.
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
