Retirement Counselor

Location: Pacific Northwest (Hybrid/Regional Travel)


Join a fast-growing retirement plan advisory firm serving small and mid-sized businesses. We are seeking experienced Retirement Counselors to manage long-term client relationships, support fiduciary retirement plan services, and deliver high-impact participant education programs.

This is a relationship-focused role ideal for professionals with deep 401(k) knowledge, strong client presence, and experience advising plan sponsors and participants. The position offers a highly stable compensation structure with significant bonus upside, strong internal support, and long-term growth potential.


What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for retirement plan sponsor clients
  • Guide plan sponsors on retirement plan governance, fiduciary processes, and plan design
  • Support implementation activities including recordkeeper transitions, plan amendments, and investment lineup changes
  • Deliver retirement education meetings and one-on-one participant sessions
  • Partner with internal sales and service teams to ensure exceptional client experience
  • Travel regionally to support onsite client engagement and participant education programs
  • Maintain ongoing communication regarding market updates, investment strategy, and fiduciary support services


What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 years of experience in retirement plans, wealth management, or financial services
  • Strong understanding of:
  • 401(k) plan design
  • ERISA and fiduciary governance
  • Capital markets and retirement plan operations
  • Experience presenting to groups and managing executive-level client relationships
  • Ability to command a room and build long-term trust with clients
  • Series 65 preferred or ability to obtain quickly
  • Organized, consultative, and highly client-service oriented

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
