Weaver Johnston & Nelson, PLLC is seeking an Attorney with 5 years of experience to join our growing healthcare law practice. This role will focus on corporate governance, healthcare transactions, and regulatory compliance matters for a diverse range of healthcare clients. The ideal candidate should have a strong desire to further develop their healthcare law practice within a collaborative and entrepreneurial firm.

Key Responsibilities
- Advise healthcare providers on operational, transactional, licensing, regulatory, and compliance matters.
- Provide legal counsel to hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, freestanding emergency medical care facilities, pharmacies, post-acute care providers (e.g., home health, SNFs, hospices), physicians, dentists, and other healthcare organizations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of healthcare-related agreements, including:
- Physician employment and recruitment agreements
- Professional and physician services agreements
- Asset/equity purchase agreements
- Management agreements
- Operating agreements
- Conduct legal research and provide guidance on complex healthcare regulatory issues, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid compliance, and other federal and state healthcare regulations.
- Assist clients with corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactional matters in the healthcare space.
- Maintain and expand a portable book of business, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
- Collaborate with partners and clients to develop strategic legal solutions that align with business goals.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Texas Bar license.
- 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare transactions, corporate law, or regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including fraud and abuse laws, reimbursement, and licensing requirements.
- Commitment to growing a client base in healthcare law.
- Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong contract drafting and negotiation experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively counsel clients.
