This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn project management fundamentals including estimating, scheduling, field coordination, procurement, and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination
- Support project planning, scheduling, and tracking to ensure projects stay on schedule
- Perform pipeline takeoffs and assist with project estimating
- Order materials and aggregates and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and equipment rentals for project needs
- Assist with heavy equipment fleet coordination and logistics
- Communicate with project managers and field teams regarding project status and material availability
- Ensure crews have the tools, materials, and resources needed to meet project goals
- Track project progress and maintain documentation related to schedules, materials, and changes
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and specifications
- Assist with preparation of technical documentation including SOPs and project submittals
- Maintain vendor relationships and assist with procurement activities
- Support safety initiatives and assist with basic safety management tasks
- Help identify and resolve project issues to keep projects moving forward
- Support senior staff with additional tasks as needed
- 0–2 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project coordination
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field preferred but not required
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and engineering plans
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Internship or work experience in construction or heavy equipment environments
- Familiarity with equipment logistics or fleet management
- Experience with CAD or Civil 3D is a plus
- Basic understanding of construction safety practices
- Pay commensurate with experience and is has a range of $50,000 – $60,000
