Photo Assistant
WeatherTech Direct, LLC is seeking a well-qualified Photo Assistant to help in the creation of marketing imagery as part of the in-house photo studio.

As a Photo Assistant you will
- Set up lighting and gather items for photo shoots; assist photographers in making various adjustments for optimal set up and lighting before and during the photo shoots
- Gather props, wardrobe, products, and photo equipment and materials needed for location and in-studio photo shoots
- Travel to shoot location, set up and test gear needed for shoot, assist the photographer as necessary to ensure the project goes smoothly
- Adhere to studio best practices, procedures, and techniques
- Work with the Studio Production Manager to facilitate vehicle rentals from dealerships and private parties by browsing for vehicles online, driving to the vehicle’s location, speaking with contacts, and keeping a log of the process
- Assist photographers during photo productions and troubleshoot creative challenges and equipment issues with photographer
- When necessary, be comfortable on camera holding props, products, or as an extra
- Keep studio equipment clean and organized; coordinate the replacement or repair of damaged equipment; ensure all equipment is put back in storage and studio is organized at the end of each day
- Follow company safety rules and keep designated work area in a clean and orderly condition
- Collaborate with other studio personnel to achieve studio objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of work experience with commercial photography in a studio and on location
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 21 years of age with a valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Experience with photography, lighting, and grip equipment preferred
- Experience with SLR, mirrorless, and digital medium format cameras
- Knowledge of Capture One and Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to successfully self-manage as well as manage multiple projects/deadlines
- Strong organizational, time management and project management skills
- Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with other departments within the company
- Excellent communication skills to receive feedback from multiple photographers and other staff members
- Able to occasionally work overtime and be flexible with work schedule, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Authorized to work in the United States
