Bookkeeper
WeatherTech Direct is seeking a well-qualified Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting functions primarily focused on accounts payable/receivable, month-end close process, data entry, transaction posting, and financial reporting.
As a Bookkeeper, you will
- Manage and process all accounts payable functions, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment preparation
- Maintain vendor records and resolve payment or invoice discrepancies
- Manage and process all accounts receivable functions, including invoicing customers
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations and supporting schedules
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals
- Generate and review financial reports for accuracy and completeness
- Maintain organized electronic files
- Maintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Participate in a variety of special projects and compiles an assortment of reports as requested
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
- Must have 5-10 years of accounting experience; strong accounts payable and general ledger background
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Proven experience handling confidential financial data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and organizational skills
- Ability to work flexible and additional hours as necessary
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
