In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Location is based off of patient need and prescribed treatment plan.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors and progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to support independence
- Support the implementation of individualized care plans tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, records, and progress notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies and reinforce positive behaviors
- Participate in ongoing training sessions related to behavioral health, special education techniques, and medical terminology to enhance your professional growth
Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement teaching strategies within a supportive environment
- Excellent data collection skills to accurately track client progress and behavior patterns
- Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance standards
- Compassionate approach to patient care with patience and effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team focused on behavioral health and behavior management
