- Monday - Friday 6 am - 6 pm with 1:3 weekend rotation
- Call involves 2 - 6 patients seen and 1 - 3 admissions per 24 hours
- Vein harvesting and first assisting in OR if needed
- A-line, central line, thoracentesis, and chest tube placement
- Weekend rounding with surgeon, can leave after completion
- 1:3 beeper call with 20-minute response time
- 0 - 5% call back percentage for emergencies
