What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler I position at Weastec, Inc.?
Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Summary: Performs the day to day operations of scheduling and serves as a primary contact with customers to assure a high level of customer satisfaction and achieve quality standards regarding shipping and scheduling.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily scheduling; using material requirement planning (MRP) software, Infor XA software, orders received via (EDI)electronic data interchange daily, ARS (F3), and manual releases within the lnfor XA database. (Includes reviewing of component shortage reports, daily behind schedules, daily cum reports and morning shipping shortage reports)
- Develops, adjusts, and audits appropriate production schedules and orders based on factors such as customer orders, interval sales forecasts, inventory levels, line capacities, parts delivery lead time, pending design changes, and future product build orders.
- Maintains customer orders via Infor XA - ARS including Honda, Toyota, Volkswagen, Chrysler and GM portals.
- Acts as a liaison between customers, and other internal departments including Sales, Shipping, Production, Quality, Specifications, and Technical Engineering.
- Responsible for loading Sales forecast by manually keying each part number into the Infor Auto Release system (Infor XA-ARS) for those customer’s whose forecast does not go far enough out in the system for Procurement. Information is based off the sales forecast data.
- Maintains customer design changes in the system to ensure proper design level is shipped to the customer by following the Manufacturing Based Part Number (MBPN) with help and direction from the Scheduling Supervisor or Scheduling Lead.
- Support in Monthly reports as needed.
- Additional task may be assigned by Scheduler Lead or above.
