Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment through proper washing and sanitizing procedures
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping ingredients, assembling plates, or portioning items under supervision
- Support banquet and catering events by preparing ingredients and ensuring timely setup and breakdown of service stations
- Follow all food handling safety protocols to ensure hygiene standards are met and maintained
- Help with general kitchen cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and organizing storage areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service hours
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to support overall restaurant or event operations
Requirements
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Knowledge of basic food handling procedures and safety standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads or bending frequently
