About the Role
Weapon X Security is looking for an alert, customer-focused Unarmed Security Guard to provide a safe and welcoming environment at a high-end cannabis dispensary. This role requires a professional demeanor, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to strict regulatory compliance and cash handling security. You will be the face of both the dispensary and our security team.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control & ID Check: Vigorously check and verify all customer and visitor IDs (21 only) before entry to ensure full compliance with state and local regulations.
- Customer Service: Greet customers professionally, answer basic directional questions, and maintain a friendly, calm presence.
- Deterrence & Surveillance: Maintain a visible presence inside and outside the facility to deter theft, loitering, and unauthorized entry. Actively monitor CCTV feeds.
- Cash Transport Security: Escort dispensary staff during cash and product movements within the facility as required by procedure.
- Incident Reporting: Promptly and accurately document all activities, incidents, and suspicious behavior in detailed digital reports.
- Emergency Response: Execute clear, calm procedures for medical emergencies, disturbances, or compliance inspections.
Schedule & Requirements
- Fixed Schedule: You must be available to work the consistent Part-Time shift of 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, four hours per day.
- On-Call Availability: Candidates must be willing to be available for on-call shifts to cover absences or high-volume event needs outside of the fixed schedule.
- Licensing: Must possess a valid State Security Guard License (or equivalent certification).
- Compliance Certification: Must hold or be able to immediately obtain any required state/local Cannabis Worker or Dispensary Security credentials.
- Professionalism: Exceptional communication skills and a friendly, neat, and professional appearance are mandatory.
